Farewell Fr. Garrett Nelson

Fr. Garrett Nelson, our sacramental minister, has been appointed by Bishop Michael Warfel to be the new Director of Vocations for the Diocese of Great-Falls-Billings. This is a blessing for the diocese, but of course the community is sad to lose him.

This past Sunday, Fr. Garrett celebrated his last Masses before he begins his assignment at the chancery in Great Falls. Each of the three churches on the Fr. Belknap reservation wished him well with a reception after Mass. He also received a Ft. Belknap beanie and a traditional beaded medallion made by a community member of Ft. Belknap Agency.

Please pray for the work of Fr. Garrett that our diocese may be blessed with holy vocations to the priesthood! Currently, our diocese has only 1 man in formation and is expecting a number of priests to retire before he is ordained.

“The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few.” Luke 10:2
